Flaxen

Flaxen is a modifier that lightens the mane and/or the tail of a chestnut horse. There is not a lot of info on this and it is not known if it affects other colours or not. Most theories say not. It is not at all related to palomino, although on a light chestnut can look a bit like palomino.

This lovely filly probably has the flaxen modifier.

Although many foals have lighter

points until the first coat drop.
