Most often known as Mealy. The
effects of this modifier are seen along the underside of the horse. On the
muzzle, behind the elbows, in the flanks, on the buttock, above or around
the eyes and along the belly. These parts end up quite a bit lighter and
most often a white to a light tan colour. The mealy muzzle is the most
obvious sign as other modifiers sometimes leave flanks lighter. It affects
black based and red based horses. I haven’t actually found any really
obvious Mealy with the Gypsy horses yet but it is a fairly common modifier
with many breeds.
