Springs Quillian Tom of Brackenhill
(imp) x Tia of Surrey Springs (imp) Foaled -
27/03/2007
Quill is a gorgeous typey gypsy
filly, very athletic with huge quality bone. She has a very
affectionate nature, the same lovely temperement that caused me to
fall in love with her dam, Tia, when I first met her at Equitana in
2005. Quill is marked just the way many of the Gypsies like them,
with more white than black. I love the striking look of her white
forelock and her parti-coloured ear. Of course the black tail
is a bonus too!!! Her feather is fantastic and she looks like
she'll have a long wavy mane. Quill is a tall one and looks like she'll mature to at
least 15.2hh.
Quill's dam was the 2008 Champion Gypsy Cob at
The Royal Melbourne Horse Show and Quill won the filly class. The
judge loved Quill and thinks she'll be hard to beat when mature. He
has even put in an order for a full brother! Tom, Quill's sire, is a
stunning well bred stallion who also now has a full brother in
Canada. All of Tom's foals have been fantastic and Quill was his
first purebred.
Quill is now in Kalgoorlie with Storm and I,
and settling in well. I'm sure she's missing the green grass
but like most cobs, seems quite happy as long as some sort of food
is on offer!!
